The origin of Mimosart Studio
“I knew from the start I didn’t want to use my real name for my art. I wanted something with meaning, something that represented me and my values and that brought me closer to home. Kind of as a reminder to myself too.”
Why did I choose the Mimosa tree?
So, my grandma’s house is my happy place and I spent a lot of time there growing up. There was a giant mimosa tree in the backyard and we used to play underneath its beautiful yellow flowers. The trunk was twisted and it looked like two people hugging, reminding me of my grandparents. But one day the wind was so strong I saw the mimosa fall down before my eyes. I couldn’t believe it!
However, after some time, two new mimosas started to grow on the same spot, from the old one! I was so happy to see that!
It made me feel like we have to stay strong and that we can overcome anything in our lives. And not only that, but when I did some research, I found out that the mimosa also represents family, friendship, resilience, happiness and hope.
And those are the values that I want to share!
